Belinda Compton from Prime Shoot Locations

About Prime Shoot Locations

Having successfully let out her own house in Wiltshire as a location for photo shoots and filming work over the last 14 years, and with a previous career as a Film Production Assistant, Belinda Compton set up Prime Shoot Locations with a view to promoting other properties in the UK and abroad for the same purpose. Using her trusted contacts, knowledge and experience she represents desirable locations and beautiful properties that would be perfect for promotional photography, period dramas, documentaries and film.

Since its inception the business has been steadily growing with a variety of exceptional locations of all characteristics on its books; its high profile client base is also expanding in tandem.  “Hosting photo shoots and filming  in your own home should be a fun and enjoyable experience as well as being lucrative and having creative appeal. To date all crews I have come into contact with have respected the integrity of the buildings they have used and have been a pleasure to work with”.

Property owners wishing to let their premises for filming work must not be averse to being somewhat ‘taken over’ by the process and must bear in mind that this is only for the short term.  On completion of a shoot any temporary alterations (carried out only with the owner’s prior consent) will be reversed, and the property will be reinstated to its original  form.  In order to establish in advance what is required from the property and what the shoot will entail, a contractual agreement is drawn up by Prime Shoot Locations setting out the conditions once a job is confirmed.  Subject to the size of the crew, some of the larger properties also provide the option to ‘shoot and stay’.

“It’s my absolute priority to ensure that every shoot introduced through Prime Shoot Locations is conducted professionally with a truly personal level of service and that all aspects relating to the setting up of the shoot shall be addressed thoroughly.  In this respect I always try to attend a shoot to oversee its smooth running and to assist in any dealings between the property owner and the client”.

Previous clients include Colefax and Fowler; Zoffany; Classical Flagstones; Next; Marks and Spencer; The White Company; Breuninger; Prestigious Textiles; Pure Cashmere; Principals; Amtico Flooring; Panasonic; Duo Shoes; And So To Bed; DFS Sofas; Julian Chichester Furniture; Archant Publishing - The English Home; Conde Nast Publications - Easy Living, Tatler; Future Publishing - Cross Stitch, The Knitter, Simply Knitting; Origin Publishing – Knit Today;  Ziegler Films -  Charlotte Link’s ‘Echo of Guilt’; WGBH and Clear Blue Sky Productions - ‘Darwin’s Dangerous Idea’; Available Light Productions -‘Maud Davies’, and  Gate Television - Rosamunde Pilcher’s ‘Four Seasons’ mini series.   A number of these companies have continued to return for repeat business.

An increasing number of companies in the UK and worldwide are looking to use locations for promotional purposes, fashion shoots, television and corporate work.  Prime Shoot Locations is proactive in researching and bringing in new clients, liaising with location scouts, photographers and regional film production offices while constantly maintaining and updating the company website.
